All things Shopify and commerce
Hey, so when I made my tiktok ad I choose to redirect to the homepage, but the link automatically get set to https://6304a2-3.myshopify.com/ even tho I have set my main domain to dashdine.store.
Hi, @sebastiangb.
Welcome to the Shopify Community.
Based on the screenshot of your Settings > Domains section, I can see that you've set your primary domain to dashdine.store. I can also see that your Shopify URL 6304a2-3.myshopify.com redirects to dashdine.store. Even if you pasted your .myshopify.com URL in the TikTok ad, it should still redirect to your primary domain.
To gather a bit more context, could you provide information on the following:
Based on this TikTok Business Help Center article, you can navigate to your TikTok Ads Manager > Campaign section to edit certain criteria of an ad. It does mention that editing certain settings will cause the ad group or ad to go under review again, but the delivery will not be affected. It's also important to make note that certain campaign, ad group, and ad settings are unable to be edited after creation.
When viewing the chart on TikTok's Business Help Center, it looks as though editing a link in an ad will trigger a new review to a previously approved ad.

Hi Victoria,
I am having the same issue as Sebastiangb. I am not worried about if it will redirect to my site, I am worried about how the shopify link looks versus my main domain. I think clicks will be affected if my shopify link is the one used, as it does not look as professional as my main domain.
Do you have any tips on how we can ensure our main domain link is being used?
I was seeing the same in the TikTok ad preview when creating the ads through the TikTok Shopify app. Instead of my custom domain, the myshopify.com one was being displayed. Not sure if it was just a preview error, but I didn't want to take the risk, so I resorted to creating the ad via the TikTok Ads Manager directly. This seems to have solved it (+ you get more options in terms of audience targeting etc.)
same here, any luck on fixing this?
