All things Shopify and commerce
Hi,
I was targeted by a gang, three orders are fraud, all happened back-to-back in two days, I knew I would lose out on Chargebacks, I just about came to terms with this. After what happened, I do worry with every order, I have managed to prevent some fraud orders. Today, I log onto my Shopify store, I'm no longer listed on the Shop app, I see the following message - "You've had a chargeback rate of less than 1% in the last six months."
A merchant is already at financial loss and feeling low, Shopify decides to kick them in the private parts, by removing them from the Shop app. Is this the support Shopify provides? Some advice to all merchants, especially new ones. The Shopify fraud indicators are not reliable one bit, even if it says, it's a low fraud order, do not take that as gospel.
I will review if it’s worth remaining with Shopify, the support is shockingly poor. I think eBay provide loads more protection to the merchant when it comes to payments, I assume their system is robust. I do need that, given the amount of fraudster that target me. I also need volume sales; I think eBay will generate that for me.
Anyone going through the same experience?
Is Amazon and Etsy as good as eBay for payment protection?
Any help on third party platforms will be welcome, I need to leave Shopify, I have too much stock to clear.
