Why has Bulk Editor for All Products feature been removed

Hi, I have been advised by Shopify Help to post some feedback here in order to get my issue resolved. I have thousands of products in my store and the Bulk Editor for All Products feature was an absolute godsend! I could search for a specific Product and all the results would appear over several pages. I selected all the products on the first page then clicked on "Bulk Editor" and an option would appear for me to select "All Products". Bingo!! Every single item relating to that search criteria would appear, I could then enter the Bulk Editor page and make all the changes that I needed in the one go.

However a few days ago this feature has disappeared.  This has severely disrupted my work and I am trying to work out how to get this feature added back in please?

Shopify support were just as surprised and noted that my screenshots proved it had disappeared. They were going to mention it to developers but I've checked and the feature is still not appearing.

Thanks

This is an accepted solution.

Ok, so I have an update. It appears the developers have weaved their magic and the bulk editor for all products is working again, but it does look different to what was there previously.

1 ) Head to the Products Page.

2 ) Click the "Search" icon on the right, then from the left hand side enter in the search criteria of the product you want to find.

3 ) Select the top checkbox which selects all 50 of the product results on that page.

4 ) On the left look for the "50 Selected" dropdown box, and click on it.

5 ) Choose "Select all results".

6 ) All the results do appear however there are still only 50 products to a page, and multiple pages will appear if greater than 50 items. On quick glance it doesnt look like the Bulk Editor has worked.

7 ) If you click the "Bulk Edit" button, you will still find only the first 50 products have appeared giving you the false impression the search hasnt worked. However if you keep scrolling down through the entries, the next page of results will start to populate at the bottom, then keep scrolling further and the next page of results will appear etc. until all products have appeared.

8 ) Make all the changes you want.

9 ) Press save.

It does take a few minutes for this to work, but at least the bulk editor feature is now back working again.  Its clunky and slow but at least we have a solution. Hopefully when the next iteration of changes is released (very soon), there may be an even better process for bulk editing products.

Thanks for everyone offering me their suggestions.

Thanks so much for all these suggestions. Unfortunately, I cannot use the CSV Spreadsheet option as all my products were initially imported through a specialised App designed by my Supplier, and as such is managed through their Systems. Hence why I was so reliant on the fantastic feature that Shopify had added.

I dont really want to go through a third party App as this then impacts my purchased Shopify template. Everytime I've had to upgrade the template, all the third party apps usually stop working and I then have to contact their design teams to get this fixed.

I do agree though, I'd like to know why it was suddenly removed and am really hoping they will reinstate it again.

Thanks
