All things Shopify and commerce
Spoke with a Shopify rep and they can’t explain it. I have 3 very simple shipping options: first class, priority and express. With first class being the longest 3-5 days.
However, when the data merges to Google, Google changes the timeframes to 1-99 days. Resulting in a delivery date being shown in a search as 4/2022!!!!! Clearly this is damaging my business. After Shopify said they would look into it, I changed the settings in Google Merchant from 1-99 to the actual days… It worked for a day, and now it’s back to 4/2022. And then I received the meaaage back from Shopify to reach out to Google. This is unacceptable. I pay SHOPIFY for a supposed seamless transition of data. If Google is changing the data, that’s fine, but I’m not paying Google. I’m paying Shopify to not have to manualy enter data multiple times. And Shopify should be performing some sort of data integrity to ensure data fields are accurate FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS. It’s Black Friday and I’m having to deal with this. Horrible experience, and costing me money.
If the data you enter on platform A is correct then platform B corrupts it....
You need to contact the other platform B, n'est-ce pas.
There could be infact be something wrong with yoiur data or setup on shopify, but almost always when multiple platforms are involved you need to do some legwork with all involved systems to gather as much info as possible.

The issue is caused by the free google shopping app you are using in Shopify. Go to Google in the sidebar within Shopify > settings > disabled automatic shipping.
Now go to Google Merchant Center, and manually update the shipping days.
Your shipping details in Google Merchant Center will stay correct.
The only reason you encounter the automatic overwrite, is due to the free shopping app, submitting the shipping details every day. And if you are using specific shipping settings, it will always be sent as 1- 99 days.
It's just the poor design of the app you are using.
