Why is my credit card payment failing on Shopify?

Hi everyone,

 

I’m facing an urgent issue with my Shopify payment. Shopify is attempting to automatically charge me $1, but the payment keeps failing, even though my Mastercard is correctly integrated and there are sufficient funds in my account. I’ve double-checked my card details and everything seems to be in order, but the automatic payment continues to fail.

 

I only have 1 day left to pay the bill. Has anyone encountered a similar issue or have any advice on how to resolve this?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

@Natsujpn hey there once again! Since you’ve already cross checked your card details I think it will be a good idea to check in with your card payment provider and get in touch with their customer support. Hopefully, it will be able to be sorted that way. Also, just make sure your payment method has not expired or been canceled in any way. If it has, you would simply have to update your payment method.

Hey there,

 

Thank you for your suggestion! I’ve already double-checked all my card details, and everything is in order. My card hasn’t expired, and it hasn’t been canceled either. I also reached out to my card provider, and they confirmed that there are no issues on their end.

 

At this point, it seems like the problem might be on Shopify’s side. I’ll continue looking into it and may need to contact Shopify support directly.

Shopify is charing $1 because you might be on Shopify free trial. 
You might be on a Shopify 30 days trial or something for your Shopify store. 
Contact the support team and they might help you. At the same time, update your payment method if you don't want to loose the premium features of Shopify.
