Helloooo!!!!!

My problem's solved by support immediately 😍 To help others, my problem was the AAAA record. They told me to remove it.

Then flush cache in here: https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/cache

Here is a link to check your AAAA record: https://www.whatsmydns.net/#AAAA

Hi, @Serra!

Welcome to Shopify Community.

Thanks for sharing your question with our network. Based on the screenshot you shared, your domain has not been successfully connected to your Shopify store. As such, your SSL will remain pending until you resolve your domain issues.

With that being said, I realize you already followed the steps to point your domain to Shopify. Domain propagation may take between 24-48 hours, however, if it has been longer than that there may be an issue with set up.

As a refresher, please look over the steps to connect your third-party domain to Shopify. Your DNS records should particularly reflect the following:

  1. Point the A record to the Shopify IP address 23.227.38.65.
  2. If necessary, change the Host name to the @ symbol.
  3. Delete any other A records on the domain if there are any present.
  4. Point the CNAME record with the name www to shops.myshopify.com.

Based on the publicly available DNS records for your domain, the A record is set up correctly. There is no CNAME record that points to Shopify, so perhaps that is the issue.

Let me know if you have further questions about this.

Warm regards,

Hi Olivia,

Thank you so much!
I applied the changes. Yes, the CNAME wasn't there. Let's see what happens in the next 24-48 hours.

Thank you for following up with me, @Serra!

The public DNS records for your domain do appear to be correctly pointing to Shopify as I am writing this. From our conversation here, it also seems to have been longer than 48 hours since you added the missing record.

In that case, I recommend that you contact our Support team directly so we can offer further personalized troubleshooting. With access to your account, we can have a deeper look at anything else interfering with the propagation.

We look forward to connecting,

Hello,

My domain has been saying SSL pending for over 48 hours. My IP is correct my A records point to the my.shopify.com and every single thing I have tried on these forum pages hasnt worked. Is there any chance you could take a look at the settings for me?

Please reply as soon as possible.

Hi, @Guimy!

Thanks for connecting with us and sharing your request. While we are unable to review settings on third-party domain provider's websites, we can certainly look at any records available publicly. Some instances in DNS settings that can impact your SSL certificate from provisioning include:

  • extra A- record
  • AAAA records
  • CAA records
  • DNSSEC
  • unrelated impact from third-party domain provider

Each case is unique and the answer could vary on a case by case basis.

If this is in fact a Shopify domain, then our Live Team can absolutely take a deeper look at your settings to troubleshoot the issue. Due to the time sensitive nature of your request and considering the time passed, I encourage you to connect with us directly so we can better assist.

Warm regards

I am having same issues, it keeps saying ssl pending and domain is pointed correctly (advised by my domain provider). Also my site napscience.ca is broken when searched on internet. :(.

Hi, @junglee007!

Thank you so much for connecting with me and joining this thread. I was able to look up the public records for your custom domain and everything looks just as it should. Furthermore, there are no issues that should prevent us from being able to issue the security certificate to make your page secure.

With that being said, certificate provisioning can take up to 48 hours after the latest domain record changes which could explain the delay. As of right now, I'm able to visit your store just fine.

Please let me know if you're still having issues,

Thanks for getting in touch, @Destinyd!

I'd be glad to help you out, though I see you haven't share your store URL with me here. As such, I'm unable to check for the issue on my end. The 1001 error you are seeing, however, does denote a security issue on Microsoft windows.

Considering the amount of time passed, I invite you to connect with our Live Team for immediate support. I trust we will be able to help you narrow it down further.
