Hello, @Jfalout8

I'd like to double-check that you have applied the correct DNS settings. Can you please check that these are 100% correct? To do this:

  1. On your domain provider’s website, log in to your account.
  2. Find the DNS settings or domain management area and change the following records:
  3. Point the A record to the Shopify IP address 23.227.38.65.
  4. If necessary, change the Host name to the @ symbol.
  5. Delete any other A records on the domain if there are any present.
  6. Point the CNAME record with the name www to shops.myshopify.com.
  7. Save the changes

You can read these instructions in detail here if you wish. Please note that after making any kind of change to your DNS settings, it can take up to 48 hours for the changes to apply. During this period, I would advise using your .myshopify.com domain so customers can still access your store. Is it possible you are seeing this error because you are still in this 48-hour period? The fact that the store is not live yet and is not finalised should not matter.

Hello @Jfalout8,

I am Gina from flareAI app - get free sales from Google. Hope you are having a good day.

If you've been waiting for three days to get your domain verified, there are a few things you can do:

1. Check if you've completed the verification process correctly
Make sure that you have followed the instructions for domain verification correctly. Sometimes, there can be small mistakes that prevent the verification process from completing.

2. Contact the domain registrar or hosting provider
If you're using a third-party service to verify your domain, you can contact them and ask for assistance. They may be able to help you troubleshoot the issue or expedite the verification process.

3. Check your email and the spam folder
Check your email to see if you have received any communication regarding your domain verification. Sometimes, verification emails may be filtered into your spam folder.

4. Be patient
In some cases, domain verification can take longer than expected due to various reasons such as technical issues, high volumes of requests, or security protocols. It's possible that the verification process is still ongoing and will be completed soon.

If none of the above steps work, it may be necessary to seek further assistance from the domain registrar or hosting provider.

Let me know if you require any further guidance.

Hi, @Jfalout8.

Welcome to the Shopify Community and thanks for sharing your question.

I understand you're in the process of connecting a third-party domain to Shopify however, you haven't received your domain verification email. @Moeed and @flareAI have shared some helpful steps to go through so you can ensure you're able to verify your domain and that it is successfully connected.

If you're not receiving the verification email within your inbox, spam or junk folder, please see the steps below to change the email address on file and resend the verification email.

  • The email on file can be changed directly from your Shopify admin, Settings > Domains section.
  • Select the domain to be edited.
  • There will be a drop-down menu labelled Domain settings. Select Edit contact information.
  • You will then edit the email address to an inbox you currently have access to, at which time the verification email will be resent.

Please see a screenshot below of this section for better visibility.

Lastly, feel free to share your domain URL here so we can take a look at your DNS settings and offer further assistance.
