Hello, everyone! I recently started Shopify store and I have been having some issues... I hope you can help me 🙂

I noticed the payout is calculated wrong. I thought that the payout price is wrong, and when I checked the reference order on the payout page and order page, they did not match up 😞

Secondly, I somehow can not connect to the contact us at all. Does anyone know how to contact them?

Thank you !

Hey @Riho-Soap, thanks for reaching out!

The payouts you will see under Settings > Payment Providers > View Payouts will be from orders where Shopify Payments was used to collect the funds from your customer. If you have another gateway available, like PayPal for example, those orders will not show up in your payouts.

Shopify Payments is a direct gateway, meaning if the customer added their credit/debit card info directly in the checkout, Shopify Payments will take the funds from their card. If the customer selects PayPal as their payment method, they will be directed to PayPal's website to complete the order. At that stage, you would need to log into your PayPal account to retrieve the funds from your order. The funds from an order where PayPal was used will not show up in your payouts.

Orders made via Shopify Payments will not be charged transaction fees, but there will be credit card rates that must be paid. This is a small fee to allow you to accept major credit cards, such as Visa and Mastercard, as payment in your store. These fees would be deducted from your order total! So for example, if the order was for $20 and you pay 40¢ in credit card rates, your payout total would be $19.60.

For reaching our support team, I'd recommend the live chat service for the fastest support. If you weren’t sure how to navigate our help centre, I’ve made a quick video here to show you how!

Let me know if any of the above explains the discrepancies you are seeing. If not, we can keep chatting.

Speak soon!
