Why is my ecommerce site suddenly not working?

My site just randomly stopped working and I don’t know what happened. It’s not working for a few other people as well, all on different devices and even in different stages. I haven’t changed or anything. My screen says “Safari can’t open the page because it couldn’t establish a secure connection to the server”.

20 years I have been in business selling mobile phones, moved from magento to shopify as the apps look good , today they closed my wesbite , no commuications nothing just "We have reviewed your account and determined that it is in violation of Shopify's Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). As a result, we are no longer able to host your store on the Shopify platform and your account has been closed." .
I have many pending orders
I have no ability to comunicate with my clients
I have never experienced this lake of professionalism
business name and reputation means a lot

Hi @MDMochon,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. I'd be happy to provide some assistance with this request, to ensure it gets resolved. To gather a bit more information, did you recently connect a custom domain to the shop?

If so, it's important to ensure that the DNS records are correctly pointing towards Shopify. To learn more about this, you can check out our Connecting Third-Party Domains document as it touches on this further.

These DNS Records include:

  • Point the A record to the Shopify IP address 23.227.38.65.
  • If necessary, change the Host name to the @ symbol.
  • Delete any other A records on the domain if there are any present.
  • Point the CNAME record with the name www to shops.myshopify.com

I'd encourage you to review those records above and make any necessary adjustments. If you're having troubles with locating where to make this change, you can connect with your domain provider directly.

It's important to note that it might take up to 48 hours for your domain to be verified after making any adjustments. After it's verified, your domain is listed in the THIRD-PARTY DOMAINS section of the Domains page with the status Connected. If more than 48 hours passes and you continue to see this error, please feel free to connect with us directly

Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
