Hello,

My new shopify store is great however I connected it to facebook and instagram and neither will let me run ads to promote my posts to drive traffic to my website. I have been "in review" for two weeks now. I emailed facebook to see if there was any specific problem I could resolve, but the didnt reply. Please help get my store up and running thanks!

Hi @studiosloane,

Thank you for writing into the community! First, congratulations on your new Shopify store! What kind of business do you have and products do you sell?

I understand it's not ideal to have an In Review status in the Facebook Sales Channel section. Rest assured, I'll be happy to offer you best next steps and resources to ensure this is resolved for you.

Just to confirm, when in the process of completing on-boarding for the Facebook Sales Channel, your domain verification is in review? This process is done on Facebook's end by their Support team and can take up to 72 hours to complete the verification process.

I'd like to share our help center resource on Facebook Shop Requirements as these need to be met in order to list your products on Facebook using the Facebook Shop feature.

Since you mentioned that it has been in review for 2 weeks, I would recommend checking for domain verification within your Facebook Business Manager by following this guide from Facebook. By following this guide within your Facebook Business Manager you can try manually verifying your domain and using the meta tag for verification.

Another option is to try reaching out to Facebook Support to help push the in review status. In order to contact Facebook:

  • Navigate to Facebook Business Manager and log into your Business Manager account.
  • Once logged into your account, select Commerce, then on the following page, click on the Help button at the bottom left corner of the page.
  • A drawer will open on the right side, click Contact Support and it will guide you to fill out a contact form.
  • Facebook will display contact options such as chat or email to contact them.

Can this information be made more easily available on the sales channel screen? This took several days before I found the solution myself, and then stumbled across this thread.
