Why is my shipping cost not changing for multiple items?

I’ve spent 2 entire days trying to get my shipping to function. The cost isn’t right, it doesnt change for multiple items and it’s not enough to begin with. Every item in my store (that’s not digital) has the same exact weight - 8 oz. How can this be this complicated ? . I’m new to Shopify and I feel like every simple problem is a HUGE issue.

I think I’ve worked it out. I’ve been informed that maybe I’m not accustomed to the savings generated by Shopify shipping.  All of my products including variations are 8 oz. And they ship in a 13x10 flat envelope  from Wisconsin.  When I put 5 or 6 into my cart the shipping seems impossibly low. VickiNStitches.com

Thanks for getting back to me. I tested out the shipping on your store and it looks like the charge does increase when more products are added, as you can see here:

If you'd like to make sure, feel free to send me a screenshot of your shipping settings (which you can find my navigating to Settings > Shipping and delivery > General shipping rates). If your weights are correct and the shipping settings are as you want them, everything should be fine. However, I'm more than happy to double-check!
