Why is Shopify still sending double-opt in emails for my newsletter?

Hey guys,

I disabled the double-opt in option on shopify for my Newsletter list. But still, when I test it, Shopify will send a Confirmation Mail to confirm my Newsletter Subscription. But at the same time in my customer feed it says the customer is subscribed to the list already even if I didn't click on the link in the Mail. But my Klaviyo Newsletter Subscription Mail is only sent to the customer after I clicked on the link in the confirmation mail from Shopify. 

Does anyone know how to solve this issue? So basically the shopify double-opt in confirmation Mails shouldn't be sent anymore.
