All things Shopify and commerce
Guys, can anyone please advise.
I noticed the payouts that i am receiving from shopify, are alot less than the sales i am making from my shopify store
For example, from April 2nd to April 20th, i had about £22,000 in sales, but i only received £16,0000 in this same period.
I thought it might have been the shopify loan, but this money gets take out separately, and i know there is a delay in payment from shopify, but £8000 is a big big difference.
I have tried to go through shopify support, and after 3 weeks, of pain stakinly trying to get help and advise, there were a waste of time.
can anyon from the shopify team please help, as something not right - and i just cannot see and or understand where this money is going, and why such a substantial shortall.
Any help would be much appreciated
Ray
Hey, @keeper121!
I see you have a concern regarding your payouts. I understand how important this is, so I'd love to take a look at this with you.
Have you had a chance to view your payouts in the Shopify Payments payout page? To know how much you should be expecting in payouts from us, you need to go to Settings > Payments > Shopify Payments > View payouts in your Shopify admin. Here you'll see details on your previous and next payout, as well as the balance that is to be paid out on a future payout date (learn about pay periods by selecting your country on this page).
If the amount in your payouts page doesn't equate to your sales, there's a big chance some of those sales were not transacted through Shopify Payments. Please note that the payouts you should be expecting from us would only be from the orders that were paid using Shopify Payments. Payouts from orders paid using a third-party payment gateway will be transferred to your bank account by the third-party gateway. That means you will need to log into your account with them to view your payouts.
You may also view the Payment by type report in your admin to see the list of orders and the corresponding payment gateways they were paid with. You can find this report by going to Analytics > Reports > Payment by type in your Shopify admin.
If you have questions about what I've discussed or still need assistance with your payouts, let us know here and we'll help you further!

While this can be true you fail to mention that, at least for us on the West Coast of the United States, it is because Shopify does not settle all transactions in time to include them on the same day the sale is made. You policy of settling at the specific UTC time you do makes it impossible for us to receive a payout that matches a calendar days sales
