Why isn't my best selling sort functioning properly in my online store?

We have a store that started selling, and i've made a collection that has all the products, and sorted by "best selling", but it doesn't seems to be working well since it only has 2 products that sold there, and besides, some others don't even appear, and after those products it's sorting from Z-A instead of "newest to oldest" as the documentation said, is it just for me that it's not working properly or where could i edit this second condition that to at leas

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. I'd be happy to provide some assistance with this request, to ensure it gets resolved. To confirm, have you sold any of those products within the collection yet? 

 

If not, then those products would automatically be sorted from newest to oldest. To learn more about this, you can check out our Collection Layout and Appearance document as it touches on this further. If however, they are not appearing from newest to oldest then I'd encourage you to connect with us directly. This will allow our support team to get you authenticated, as we wouldn't have access to any account details here through the Community. They will be able to take a closer look at the collection to ensure it's populating as expected.
