Hi everyone ,

I have enabled Bogus Gateway for my development store and still I am not able to checkout . It says This store cant accept payments now . And the bogus gateway doesn't work because of

'Bogus Gateway doesn't support 3D Secure with Shopify, which is required to comply with European PSD2 regulations.'

Anyone can help with this??

Hi @blessan,

This is a known issue and this banner will attach to any test gateway that doesn't meet the European PSD2 regulations. You can ignore the banner when using the bogus gateway and test the checkout using the information listed on our Help Center. Our developers are working on a fix so that this banner doesn't display in future.

Adding on to the query , it was resolved . My shopify payments was active so therefore it deactivated the Bogus Gateway . So after deactivating the Shopify payments it was resolved .

Hey @blessan

Use only the following codes , not your actuall card number in place of the credit card number when checking out:

  • 1 - To Simulate an Approved Transaction
  • 2 - To Simulate a Declined Transaction
  • 3 - To Simulate a Gateway Failure

Any three numbers can be used as the "Card Security Code" and any expiry date in the future will work.

I am still getting the error when trying to add the test CC at checkout

There are 2 errors:

  • Credit card brand is invalid
  • Credit card number is invalid

tried with different provided test cards, example:  5555555555554444

Hi @j_michael,

Thank you for getting in touch. If you're using Shopify's bogus gateway, you need to follow the guidelines listed on our Help Center to test orders. For example, if you want to simulate a successful transaction you just need to enter in "1" for the credit card number at checkout. The article linked the various information you can enter to simulate transactions.
