Why isn't my contact form sending emails?

Hi Shopify ,

The site contact form appears to work, saying it has been sent, but no emails are being received, in addition customers sending emails direct to the site address are also not being received.  I cannot see why this is, the email address is valid and the domain verified.  I have looked at the various other posts on this subject and not found a solution that has worked.
