I have created a discount code for a sale this weekend and happened to test it first. It is not working. This issue has been somewhat ongoing since a shopify update a few months ago. Previously it had to do with me using a volume pricing app. However, this sale does not use that app.
Discount Code: SUBTUMB
Also, discount code WELCOME does not work.

Thank you for sharing your store and the discount codes you created. Could you share some screenshots of the discount code setup/parameters from within the admin so we can check on that as well?
What is the discount code supposed to do and does it require a certain product/collection/order value for it to be triggered?
Also, the discount codes are case sensitive. So if they were entered in the discount section of the admin in all caps or lowercase, they need to be entered that way at checkout as well.

Here are screenshots of the backend with the discount code details, as well as the error it gives. I get this error with a coupon code that applies to all products as well.

I did test this on my end and was able to add the discount code successfully. I tried with both 1 item and with 20.
Have you been able to replicate this error on other devices or browsers? If not, please do try doing a full browser cache and cookie clear and also attempt in a private/incognito window.
Our live support will also be able to assist in troubleshooting this further and help isolate the root of the issue.

@Shay Hi Shay, I stumbled on this post when I was looking for some information about Discount Code. You mentioned that the discount codes are case-sensitive.
I have just tested the discount code in uppercase and lowercase and both work. So I don't think the discount codes are case sensitive.

I just checked myself and it looks like this was most likely updated when we rolled out the combined discounts feature. Good catch!
