All things Shopify and commerce
Hi, I really hope I can fix this soon. I had a custom domain through wix then transferred ownership to shopify, but my domain hasn't worked since - it comes up with "This site can't be reached"....in my settings it says "set up in progress" and "needs attention". It says there is multiple things wrong:

It looks like you're having some issues getting your domain properly connected to Shopify after transferring it from Wix.
The errors you're seeing indicate there are a few DNS records that need to be updated to point your domain to Shopify's servers.
Here are the steps I'd recommend:
1. Log into your domain registrar account where you manage the DNS settings for your domain (this is likely still Wix if you just transferred the domain recently).
2. Locate the DNS records section. You'll need to update a few key records:
- A Record - This should be pointed to Shopify's IP address: 23.227.38.65
- CNAME Record - This should be set to shops.myshopify.com
3. Save your changes. As noted in the errors, it can take up to 48 hours for these DNS changes to fully propagate across the internet, so your domain may not work immediately.
4. If after 48 hours it's still not working, double check that all the records are correct. You can use a tool like MxToolbox to check the current DNS records for your domain.
5. If everything looks correct in DNS but it's still not working, reach out to Shopify support. They can do a deeper investigation into any potential issues on their end.
The key is making sure those DNS records (especially the A record and CNAME) are pointing to the right place. Once DNS is updated, Shopify will be able to serve your site on your domain.
Let me know if you need help or have any other questions as you work through this!
Transferring domains and updating DNS can be tricky, but you should be able to get it resolved.

The issue is since I transferred the info to shopify, I don't have access to any domain or DNS records on wix anymore. It no longer even allows me to access that section because there is no domain information with wix anymore.
Ok, the problems have to be fixed in Shopify.
What's your domain name please ?

Hey, i tried method with the asnwer but still facing Error fetching domain CAA record. Anyone help?
Hey @JimmyStej.
Thanks for reaching out.
Could you provide the domain that you are attempting to connect with your store, by any chance? Also, did you happen to purchase this domain directly from the Shopify platform, or is this a third-party domain that you are attempting to connect with your store?
When you make changes to the third-party domain DNS settings - it may take up to 48 hours for the changes to be reflected on the domain. I would suggest attempting to follow our in-depth guide about connecting a third-party domain to your Shopify store.
Looking forward to your response, let us know if that does the trick.

Do NOT buy your domain directly through Shopify. They simply resell domains from a third party, and when issues arise, they offer no real support. My website has been down for over 40 hours, and Shopify is telling me to contact the third-party provider despite the fact that I purchased the domain through Shopify. Meanwhile, the third party says they cannot assist me and that I must contact Shopify instead.
No one is helping, and my website is still not working. This is completely unacceptable and highly unprofessional from Shopify. Very disappointed.
