Why isn't Shopify fully customisable?

Hi,

I'm trying to set up my first store but am having great difficulty.

I've chosen a theme on the free 3 day trial and I am unable to move text boxes to where I want etc? Isn't there a simple way to move/drag boxes to where I want?  Or to I choose a theme and that's it, I'm dictated to where the boxes are

What do you mean by drag & drop ?
If you check the theme layout you see options to enable/disable sections from Customize:> Theme Settings:> Options

Thanks for coming back.

I mean I want to change the location of text boxes to where ever I want on the page. So lets say the template has a text box over an image and I want to drag/move it somewhere else, is this doable?

You can't modify free theme as you like

Can you modify on paid ones?

• Go to your Shopify admin panel and navigate to Online Store > Themes.
• Find the theme you want to edit and click Customize.
• Look for a section related to Colors or Theme settings. This might vary depending on your theme.
• Within the color options, search for something like Link colors, Secondary colors, or anything related to text links.
• You should be able to choose a new color for your links from there.
