Why isn't 'www.' working on certain browsers for my store?

So I have a store that is up and running fine with a domain that I brought with me which is datapath.store. All browsers work fine without the www. some browsers, like brave and edge throw up an error if you put the www in front of it, while others like Firefox and Opera merely truncate the www and go on to work fine. Here is a screenshot of my DNS settings. I must be doing something wrong either at Shopify or at square space where I purchased the domain name. Any help would be appreciated.

This is an accepted solution.

It seems like it can be either a cache issue or that your SSL configuration should start supporting the WWW version as well.

Hi, have you set up the sub domain with "WWW" at the beginning of your domain from your domain host? If not that's the problem. You have to set it up. 🙂

You must add support for the www version in your DNS provider settings. I guess you are using Cloudflare as a DNS provider.

You should add www as A record. IP should be the same as the main domain, which can be shown as @
Below, you can see what my settings look like in Cloudflare.

Thanks added the A record as stated, but Edge and Firefox still dont like it.

"www.datapath.store has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site."

checked with DNSchecker.org and it said good, Square Space is provider, here is screen shot

Hey @JHT.

Thanks for reaching out.

I appreciate the screenshots that you have shared with us as that is very helpful! If you can confirm that the following DNS settings of the third-party domain are pointed correctly to the Shopify store following this guide here. I would suggest reaching out to the third-party domain providers support and bringing this to their attention. They will have additional insight on the issues that you may be experiencing with the domain.

Let us know if you have any questions.

You made www a CNAME record, but it should be an "A" record. Try to add an additional record or change an existing one.
