Why was my online store deactivated despite recent traffic increase?

Hi everyone, After working on my store for a couple months to get it presentable, i get a notice that Shopify will be deactivating the store due to lack of traffic and sales. I had just run a facebook campaign and had 500 visitors. By the time you obtain a business licence, insurance, add and edit product and get the store looking professional as well as working another job they deactivate your store at a moment notice. i wasn't even done with the 3 month $1 a month promotion. The odd thing is in the email i was sent from Shopify, when you click on the contact customer service button, you get someones Gmail. Is this something that anyone has experienced?

Thanks.

Definitely sounds like a spam/phishing email. Shopify will NEVER use a gmail email address.

Also, Shopify doesn't close down stores due to inactivity. As long as you're paying your monthly bill, it doesn't matter if no one visits or purchases-from your store/website.

If in doubt, contact Shopify's support directly, but I think you're probably good to ignore that email, if was using an @gmail.com email account/link.
