First of all, I've heard about shopify's "award winning" support yet I could not find a way to call, email or contact them at all about my store. What happens when I need urgent help regarding my website?

I have read way too many times that shopify plans start with indian 750 rupees. My store will only let me do it for 34$ monthly. I cant find a way to do it through rupee. I am so pissed with the way this site has so many inconsistencies

Hi @prachii

Shopify's $9 plan offers you to modify the store until you get ready to make it live after 14 days trial.

The basic plan starts with $29+ GST. So, if you're GST registered you don't need to pay GST on Shopify. Only $29 per month.

Hey @prachii

I can see you have a few queries about where to get support and also about your Shopify billing. Just so you know, you can contact Shopify Support 24/7 by using this link here. We are always here to support merchants like yourself and help you to succeed. We are available via live chat, email and phone callback. Feel free to reach out any time you need urgent help - of course we are often happy to support here on the forums also.

It sounds like you are located in India, and are wondering why you cannot pay for your Shopify subscription in Indian Rupees. Certain regions can pay for their Shopify subscription in their local currency, for example EUR in Europe and GBP in the UK. However, local currency billing has not yet been implemented in India. For stores located in India the currency you would pay for your subscription is USD.

Judging by the $34 example you gave, it sounds like you are on the Basic Shopify plan. This is $29 per month, however we are now required by law to charge merchants in India GST tax on their Shopify bills. As @Sheesh_b mentioned in his reply, you can be exempt from this tax if you are GST registered and provide your GST Identification Number. To add this number you can navigate to Settings > Billing > Tax Registration.

Have you considered updating your billing cycle to annual billing, instead of monthly? You can actually save 10% overall on your bill if you switch to annual billing. You also get some other benefits including free access to the Carrier Calculated Shipping API, which lets you use apps/carrier accounts to dynamically calculate shipping costs for customer orders. That is normally an extra $20 per month on a monthly plan.
