@Doge1
You can't change the Store url of 'xyz.myshopify.com'.
Once you have created the name will be same,
if you want to change then u have to Buy the Domain,
Hi @Doge1 ,
Thanks for reaching out here. I'd love to help.
As @Zworthkey mentioned - once created, myshopify.com URL can't be altered. I wanted to pop in to provide extra context! You can't edit the URL because your Shopify account is tied to it. So it's kind of like a unique username or ID.
However, you don't need to go through the process of creating a new account as long as you intend to purchase a custom domain. I would definitely recommend getting a domain. Much like a storefront window, a good domain will create awareness and attract customers.
When you've added a custom domain and set it to your primary domain, your customers won't be able to see the .myshopify.com URL. Instead, you'll only need it for logging in to your account. You can follow the steps for setting up a primary domain here.
There should be a state website or a database in most countries where you can search business names and find out whether another business is already using the name you have chosen.
What led to the change for your business? Are you working on setting up a different brand than you had initially envisioned?
Here is an excellent guide on the branding process.
Let me know if that helps!
