Your old links will still work, but there should be domain redirect which will switch from company.myshopify.com to company.com during user navigation.
In the end your old links will work.

Hi,

All will be fine. Your theme will use paths like '/pages/example' and so will not be harmed by changing the domain*.

*Unless somebody literally went into your code and hardcoded the URL - which is unlikely.

In some of my product, there are links to other products that I manually input "company.myshopify.com/product/someproduct" , would these be fine too?

When you add your domain to Shopify you can have all traffic redirect to your main domain. This means that if someone visits:

company.myshopify.com/product/someproduct

it will auto redirect to

company.com/product/someproduct

Can someone explain how exactly to go about it? Like step by step. I have a rough idea, but we have a lot of paid ads live and I don't want to risk the old link to stop working.

Hello @vincentpoont2

I would like to give you some recommendations to support you
You can add link like this
product/some product
pages/some page
collection/some collection

and this work is normally when you add domain
If you use URL like company.myshopify.com/product/someproduct , URL will auto-redirect to domain/product/someproduct
I hope the above is useful to you.
Kind & Best regards!

Sorry, I am not sure if I understand, so if I have a link in a product that direct to company.myshopify.com/product/someproduct, after my domain change to company.com, would this link still work or be broken?
