All things Shopify and commerce
I am getting am error saying "You have reached the maximum number of attempts for submitting your details. You need to contact support to make any changes." when trying to use shopify payments. This is very frustrating as some of the details are wrong and my store is unable to accept payments right now, I have contacted support several times about this but they just keep saying that it is escalated with their verification team. I have looked around on the Shopify forum and one of the discussions says that I should be able to verify my info again in 24 hours. It has been a few weeks and we have lost several sales because of this.
My ticket numbers are: 50255377, 50386126, 49625967, 49371484, 49402226, 49374251, 49371290.
Most of them seem to be "escalated" according to shopify but I have heard nothing from them yet

You’re encountering an issue with Shopify Payments and have reached the limit for submitting details. Given the delays and lost sales, continue following up with Shopify support using your ticket numbers, and try escalating through social media or community forums. If the issue persists, consider exploring alternative payment solutions or platforms to minimize further disruptions.
I am already reaching out to several new payment provider but none of them are really helping yet, shopify should really just make a button that employees can click which resets the account verification count
Hello, has your problem been solved? How long did it take on average? I've been waiting for weeks too.
Mine took about 2 weeks. This was too long so set up a new store, decided to check one last time and noticed it was fixed.
I had to ask for updates and tell them to hurry up multiple times, but it did get resolved.
Did they keep you waiting for weeks and activate your account directly without asking you anything? They just tell me to wait to hear from the Shopify Payments team and I've been waiting for 15 days.
Yeah exactly that, they said they'd let me know but I never actually got contacted, just checked and it was fixed.
I'd suggest sending a couple more pushy emails and if it's not fixed in a couple days it's not worth waiting over, just build a new store.
Was your problem resolved and how long did it take?
Im waiting already 2 long week, no answer, only promise, promise, promise from support advicer. Its not normal work 😡
I'm having the same problem, and getting the same answers from the support team. Also tried following up over email multiple times and still the same answers. No luck for me after a week.
Wonder if upgrading to a higher Shopify plan then back to the previous one might reset it?
Maybe but as we havent made any real profit we are losing money on the shopify plan, so really dont want to test it.
I just tried it, doesn't work.
Also tried de-activating shopify payments and re-activating but it automatically uploads your details again and you get the same message.
Given up on the support team, opened a new store and transferred everything. What a hassle.
Shopify Should really better their support team, also how did you transfer everything to another store
have you resolved this issue? And if you have, how did you do it?
We couldn't find a way for shopify to resolve it, so we just created a new store and transferred most if not everything over. Shopify support sucks and we couldnt wait on all the missing sales.
how do you create a new store and transfer everything over?
How do you do that?
Its been 2 weeks now . I haven’t recieved a single email from them. No response from them. This is pethetic .
Was your problem finally solved? How long did you wait?
I have been getting the same error - Shopify support have been 0 help - is there an email I can send to instead of dealing with the chat ?
Thanks
The problem has not been resolved. I communicate with their customer service every day, but it is of no use so far.
