All things Shopify and commerce
A notification appears on Shopify that there is a domain error saying "Your domain has no nameserver record." Shopify support advised to make changes to the DNS as follows:
"Change the following records: Point the A record to the Shopify IP address 23.227.38.65. If necessary, change the Host name to the @ symbol. Delete any other A records on the domain if there are any present. Point the CNAME record with the name www to shops.myshopify.com. Save your changes."
However, according to the domain provider, these records have already been added correctly to the DNS (a screenshot is attached).
after that shopify support said it looks like the nameserver is fine and the website is working perfectly give it 24 hours and that message will disappear
but error persists even after 36 hours,
Shopify support insists that the domain provider needs to fix the issue, while the domain provider asserts that the domain and DNS records are already correct, placing the responsibility on Shopify for the problem.
Please guide me on what might be causing this issue and who should resolve it.
It's important to note that our website is not down, website is working perfectly.
I am facing the exact same issue. All settings are as per shopify guidelines. And suddenly this error is coming since the past 2 days.
Is your domain a .pk domain?
@Musa5
The issue you're experiencing could be related to the specific domain hosting provider. Pk domain takes longer then .com
Hey @theBabyStore
The issue you're experiencing could be due to DNS propagation delay. DNS propagation is the time it takes for the DNS to take effect across the internet. It can take anywhere from 24 to 72 hours, sometimes even longer.
You can try some troubleshooting https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/domains/troubleshoot-issues-with-domains
Facing some issue here. All of a sudden, after 2 years with the same DNS configuration I got this error.

Did any one gets a heads up about this?
I got the same error message after 2 years of starting the service. The website is still working fine while Shopify sending out error messages past 2 days. No idea how to fix this either. Looking for help as well.
Hi everybody,
I chat with customer support. This is Shopify issue, they can fixing it from their end, I didn't need to fix it from my domainname host after 2 years running with no issue.
I don't know if this is case by case or impacting everybody. You can submit a ticket and chat with customer support, sharing screenshot of your current DNS settings, they can fix it.
Has your issue been resolved?
I have the exact same issue. Shopify Domains, I get this warning "Your domain's CNAME record doesn't point to Shopify. Open your domain provider's DNS settings for www.zapamax.com and set its CNAME record to shops.myshopify.com."
I chatted with shopify help, they tried to guide me through changing this with Godaddy. At Godaddy, I can not edit/delete the CNAME WWW which is now pointing to my domain zapamax.com. As per shopiy warning, it should point to shops.myhopify.com. Also, the A RECORD last digits now at godaddy is 32. As per shopify help article, it should be 65.
SHOPIFY support chat, informed me that the problem has been fixed. But I still see the same message.
Godaddy says, all ok at their end.
Does anyone know why this is happening?
