Debut Theme Video Slide not available

Hi guys,

I am new to Shopify, chosed the Debut theme.

I want to add a video (auto play) as a background on the top of the page. But when I choose to add the section "Slideshow", I cannot add the Video Slide, I just can add Foto slides. 

Do you know what I am missing?

Gabe from Shopify here! Are you trying to embed a video in the Debut slideshow?

Currently, you can only add a video section in Debut if that is of any help to you? In some of the other free themes like Narrative you can add a video slide indeedy:

Therefore, I recommend testing all of our free themes. Only that way will you find the theme that truly best fits your products and company branding.

I am not that far yet so no issues at all in changing the theme.

Hi, but basically its only able to add via Youtube link, isn't it? How can I add a video in the top of my home page wether debut or narrative without using you tube but by direct upload? And how can I set the audio, either that it only plays once on the first loop or that the viewer can click a button to hear it? Is there anything userfriendly I can set?

Have you tried any of these apps? Currently they are your best options as the Shopify free themes only allow either YT or Vimeo. Or you can contact an expert like Guido here who can hard-code a video into your homepage with the desired controls.
