Shopify tracking my own visits, thus messing up analytics.

Hello,

Even though I am visiting my website in the same browser/window of where I am logged into my shopify account it still tracks my own visits in the shopify analytics.

Thus I cannot get realistic data on traffic of my website, because majority of the visits are from me as I am constantly doing something on the website.

How could I fix this?

Would very much appreciate any help.

Hi @ARSystems

Actually, Shopify doesn't have native support for excluding your own visits, but you can work around it. If you're using Google Analytics, set up an IP filter to exclude your own IP address (you can Google "What's my IP?" to determine it). Another option is to visit your store in incognito mode or use a different browser where you're not logged into Shopify. If you're doing a lot of testing, you can also investigate a browser add-on that deactivates tracking scripts
