Add and remove out of stock items from collections

hello,

i am using manual collections and smart collection, and i have items out of stock and no plan to replenish it very soon, but i want it no to show up on collection pages, so for smart collections i can add a condition to check for inventory. but for manual collections i don't have the way to remove the items automatically, (also for smart collections sometimes i need any of a few type conditions so in that case i can add a condition for inventory).

i think the flow app might be able to help however i want to remove out of stock items only if there was no stock for 180 days,

can anyone help me with creating a flow like this?

I am not sure about this but if Shopify liquid does provide a way to check when the item went out of stock then we can check if that product has past 180 days and show or hide the product accordingly.

"out of stock" is not tracked that way, so you would need to store the date in a metafield when something goes out of stock. And then build an automation to check that date at some point.
