Any alternatives to Shopify Flow for non Plus plans?

Looking to take an advantage of Shopify Flow functionality for a non Plus Shopify project. Specifically the ability to make API calls after an order is created. Does anyone know any alternatives?

In addition to the good alternatives already mentioned, I'd suggest Zapier (https://zapier.com/) and our own automation app, Mesa (https://apps.shopify.com/mesa). Mesa's the only one of the bunch that also integrates with Flow so you can easily pass data back and forth between the apps.

For a developer friendly app alternative, you could check out Cloud Hooks. It provides a server-less platform for for you to write Javascript in response to any Shopify web hook. Common actions, like making Shopify API calls, sending emails, external HTTP requests are all provided to your Javascript for ready-to-go integrations.

I highly suggest checking out Alloy Automation's Flow alternative. They have a library of workflows that are tailored for stores that aren't on Plus and it covers use cases from shipping/fulfillment to customer support and marketing. 

There are 60+ Shopify app and non-Shopify app integrations on the platform already. They're partnered with the likes of Gorgias, Omnisend, and Postscript on the Shopify front, and other non-Shopify tools like Airtable, Google Sheets, Intercom, Zendesk, and others. 

Definitely check them out, they have a free tier!

I'd suggest Alloy Automation as the best Shopify flow alternative, they have a free plan and more integrations than Flow. They're ecommerce automation focused so they have everything from Klaviyo to Mailchimp, meaning you can integrate your Shopify with marketing automation or customer support to run complex workflows.
