Shopify Flow is an ecommerce automation platform that enables you to automate tasks and processes within your store and across your apps.
Hello everyone,
I operate a storefront that receives orders, and I rely on Boxify to accurately calculate the shipping costs for my customers, as the built-in Shopify calculations are not very reliable. Since I offer hundreds of products with varying sizes, using USPS volume dimensions provides the most accurate and cost-effective shipping solution for them.
I also receive orders for specific items that I sell on Amazon and eBay with free shipping, and I use Salestio to sync these orders with Shopify, so everything is consolidated in one place. This helps streamline my fulfillment process using Pirate Ship and for account purposes.
My issue is that when orders come from Salestio to Shopify, Boxify still calculates the shipping cost. Since Boxify charges a monthly fee based on the number of transactions, this results in unnecessary transactions, which consume my quota.
Salestio claims that it isn't requesting a shipping calculation, while Boxify states that Shopify is automatically triggering the calculation for all orders.
Is there a way, using Shopify Flow or any other workflow tool, to instruct Shopify to skip the shipping calculation by Boxify for orders that come from Salestio? Salestio tags these orders with an "Amazon" or "eBay" label, so could I create a rule based on this?
If this isn't possible, are there alternative tools that would work better for this scenario?
Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Hey @Fern88 ,
Yes, you can set up a workflow in Shopify Flow to skip the Boxify shipping calculation for orders tagged with "Amazon" or "eBay" from Salestio. Here’s how you can approach this:
Solution Using Shopify Flow:
1. Create a Flow to Identify Orders with Specific Tags:
- In Shopify Flow, create a new workflow that triggers when an order is created.
- Set the condition to check if the order has the tags "Amazon" or "eBay" (these tags are applied by Salestio when syncing orders from those platforms).
2. Skip Boxify Shipping Calculation:
- Add a condition that checks whether the order contains the "Amazon" or "eBay" tags.
- Once you detect that the order has these tags, you can use the "Remove shipping" action (if available through your Flow app) or mark the order as exempt from Boxify's calculations.
3. Custom Logic (if required):
If Shopify Flow does not have an option to disable Boxify specifically, consider setting up a custom field or note indicating that no shipping cost calculation should be made for the order. You may need a developer to adjust Boxify’s behavior based on that custom field.
4. Ensure Other Fulfillment Systems:
Since you’re using Pirate Ship for fulfillment, ensure that Pirate Ship is correctly handling the fulfillment of these orders without triggering Boxify’s calculations.
In summary, using Shopify Flow to detect orders with "Amazon" or "eBay" tags and then removing the shipping calculation could solve your issue. However, if Flow’s built-in options are not sufficient, consider a custom solution either within Boxify or through a Shopify developer.

Thanks for the reply but I don't see a "remove shipping" action in Flow. Shopify support was not helpful, but I can try Boxify again.
