Re: How to automatise end of Markdown?

Solved

How can I automate sales ending at night on a large scale?

Hello,

I'm try to understand if there is a way to automatise the end of our sales during night, in a bulk way.

Basically, today at 11:59 we are ending our sales and so far I'm not able to find a way to end them rather than doing it manually.

The steps that I have to automatise would be:

  • removing the Sales Collections from the navigation
  • set all markdown products on draft and redirect URLs to the HP, or
  • make all markdown products not reachable any more (not sure how...)

Did anyone found a solution for this topic?

Thanks,

Martina

I think often people use tags to show items in certain collections like the "Markdown" collection. So you could set / remove tags, which could be done in Flow via a schedule.

Flow does have options for creating redirects.

I'm not sure if there is a way to set navigation, but you could potentially unpublish the collection. Whether that removes it from your navigation likely depends on the your theme

Hello Paul,

using Flow is a good option to remove products from the sale collections.

Regarding the navigation, unpublishing the collections is something that still must be done manually, correct?

Best,

Martina
