How can I create a custom workflow for API integration on an ecommerce site?

Hi,

My client wants me to create custom flow to the existing shopify website. 

Current work flow which is working is :

1. Add products from admin and user filters on front end to narrow down the search and purchase. 

What modifications is required

1. Existing work flow should remain how it is working. no changes to this

2. Add another menu link which will open a listing page and products under this page will appear from third party API

3. Users can use filters to make to-fro request to the API to narrow down the search among listed products.

4. Credentials to be sent along with the API call to be picked from the admin section of shopify.

5. The products from this list can be added to the cart and the rest of the work flow same as default shopify workflow.   

Any sort of guidance will be of much help!

The first workflow you mention, is it Shopify Flow that is doing the tagging when a product is added to the admin?

For numbers 2 to 5, this isn't possible with Flow since Flow can't take any action within the browser when navigating in the Shopify admin. I'd recommend checking with our technical support team to solve what you're looking for, because it looks like you'll need to create a private app to solve this! Sorry I can't be of more help.
