For some reason, my automated email didn't send as the user who ordered is not subsribed to marketing. How can I fix this issue?

There is an automated email that Shopify sends. You can try editing the order notification instead. Go to Setting > Order confirmation. Click Edit code. You can the change the contents
No because i only want it to be an additional email for people who specifically buy kitchen knives from my website.
Not possible to do without a 3rd party app. Flow/shopify email won't allow you to email non-subscribers.
