Order cancelled

Hello everyone,

I'm looking to set a condition in my workflow to verify if the order placed was cancelled.

For more information I have an Online store for secondhand kids clothes. And people often order small quantity and put the items on hold until they have a good quantity. They then pay for shipping and I send them all their previous orders together to save on the shipping cost. I would like to set an email 3 weeks after their last order to make sur they don't forget about it.

So far I created the work flow as follow : Order created | Verify the shipping is Pending | Wait 3 weeks.

I would like to add two conditions First : the order was not cancelled, 2nd They haven't placed a second order since the last one.

And so far I can't seem to find a way to set it correctly. Is there anyone who has a flow similar or find a way to set it correctly ? A different apps maybe ?

Hey Meghan_Pilon,

Heddy from Gameball here.

Flow can sometimes feel a bit limited when it comes to conditions like checking if an order was canceled or if another order has been placed since.

Here’s a thought: Instead of just using Shopify Flow, you might want to look into apps that handle order status or customer segmentation in a bit more depth. Some customer loyalty or email marketing apps can tag orders and customers based on specific conditions like cancellations or when they’ve placed a new order. That way, you could create an email flow based on those tags. Klaviyo or Omnisend, for example, are apps that allow you to build more complex flows and track customer behavior a bit more closely.

For your specific conditions:

  1. Set a tag or filter for "Order canceled" to ensure you’re not following up on those.
  2. For the second order condition, look for apps or custom workflows that can track a customer's order history and set a "wait until" condition based on whether another order has come through.

It might take a little tweaking, but with the right tools, you can definitely get this flow working smoothly!

You can use get order data to check whether they placed a second order since the last one.
