Hi there! Having issues with Shopify Flow (just switched to Shopify Flow after using Klaviyo, which I found to be so easy to use... Shopify Flow on the other hand.... is not). I've set up a few flows for different emails to deliver depending on the product ordered (plus a post purchase thank you email). However, I'm getting error messages on the last step (delivering the email) with an error message: Exception: Cannot deliver abandonment delivery, Abandoned Checkout missing abandonment_id param (see screenshot) ›
I've played around with the triggers being either "order created" or "order paid" and neither seem to work. What's going on?
How do I do post purchase thank you emails and/or product emails. Thank you for any tips/suggestions!!!
Thank you SO much! I'm going to give this a shot. Is what I want possible with Shopify Flow or is Klaviyo the way to go? While I found Klaviyo much more intuitive and easy to set up, I'm trying to streamline and save $, especially as I don't have that many email subscribers (between 1-2k, and I send 3 - 4 emails/month, plus all the flows) so didn't feel the price I was paying for Klaviyo made sense.
I suspect the issue is that you're trying to use an email template associated with an abandonment in the "Send marketing email" step. Have you checked that the configuration of that action is using the right template?
Exactly this. You can't send abandonment emails when an order is created. That doesn't even make sense. You may need to start with a blank email. I'll also point out this is Send Marketing Email, so if you are trying to send transactional email it will not work as needed....most obviously, customers need to be subscribed.
