Shopify Flow is an ecommerce automation platform that enables you to automate tasks and processes within your store and across your apps.
Hello,
We are currently looking for expertise in Shopify Flow automation. We have several flows running well, but we recently created two new ones for pickup and local delivery, and these are not functioning as expected.
We intend to send additional information to customers using these methods, similar to how we do with our existing flows. While we’ve set up the flows, they are not sending as they should, and we’re unable to identify the issue.
We suspect it could be related to language settings, as the new flows are in the default language equal to options as (LOCAL, PICKUP), and our store options are in our local Slovak language, we actually used our local name for one flow and it works well but now we have not been able to determine the root cause of the problem neither use our custom name for these methods,
We have already contacted Shopify support, but unfortunately, they were unable to resolve this issue or provide guidance, which led us to reach out to you directly.
Could you please assist us in identifying and resolving this issue?
Your expertise would be greatly appreciated. Please let us know if you require any additional details from our end.
Looking forward to your response.

Hi everyone,
We’re happy to share that we’ve successfully resolved our issue with Shopify Flow for Pickup and Local Delivery! 🎉
Here’s how it works: Once a local order is placed, you simply click "Ready for Pickup" when the order is fulfilled. At this stage, an email is automatically sent to the customer with details about pickup—such as the available day and time options.
We’ve set up a similar flow for Local Delivery: Once an order is ready to be delivered, an email is triggered asking the customer which day and time works best for them.
Attaching the flow below in case anyone else was struggling with this setup! Hope it helps. Let us know if it works for you too. 😊
Hi everyone,
We think we’ve found a solution to our issue with Shopify Flow not triggering for Pickup and Local Delivery methods, and we’re currently testing it. If you’re facing a similar problem, feel free to reach out—we’ll happily share whether our solution works!
Honestly, if it does, it’s surprisingly simple, considering Shopify suggested upgrading to Shopify Plus or hiring a specialist for coding. Fingers crossed! 🤞
What was the root case of the issue?
Hi Kalen,
The order just needs to be marked as "Ready to Pickup" once it's ready, and then the email will automatically be sent. We found the solution and got both flows working!
We’ve posted a detailed explanation with a photo of the flow setup, which should help clarify things. Feel free to check it out!
Let me know if you have any other questions. 😊
