Shopify Flow is an ecommerce automation platform that enables you to automate tasks and processes within your store and across your apps.
Hey everyone,
We’re rolling out a formulation improvement for our single-product supplement store, and I want to ensure that our Shopify Flow setup correctly tags repeat customers who haven’t received the new formula before.
What I’m Trying to Achieve:
1.Tag repeat customers who are purchasing after the formula update, ensuring they are identified as trying the new formulation for the first time.
2.Automatically remove the tag when they make a second purchase of the new formulation, indicating they are no longer “new” to this version.
3.Prevent customers from re-entering the flow—once a customer has gone through this tagging process, they should never be tagged again for this on future purchases.
Flows Created:
Flow 1 – Add Tag: Adds an order tag to repeat customers, but only if this is their first purchase after the new formula release.
Flow 2 – Remove Tag: Removes the tag when they make a second purchase of the new formulation.
How do I Prevent Re-entry: Ensuring customers don’t re-enter the flow after completing the tagging process, so a third purchase (or beyond) doesn’t restart the tagging cycle?
I’ve attached the flow details - can anyone confirm if this setup will work as expected? Any feedback on potential issues or improvements would be greatly appreciated!
