Discussing Shopify Functions development, deployment, and usage in Shopify apps.
Hello,
I have free shipping offered when customers spend more than $65. This is also combined with a "bulk order" discount of 5% off of most of my items. Let's say a customer is spending ~$65 BEFORE any discounts (this being eligible for free shipping) if the 5% discount applies and they are now paying less than $65, they are still getting shipping for free. I understand that and understand that it works.
However, I have some customers spending LESS than $65 before discounts, and are still getting a $0 shipping option, thus making me have to cover the entirety of shipping out of pocket. Any idea why this might happen? As it has happened more than once, and the customer is NOT spending $65 or more in any way, before or after discounts.
Thank you
@TaiyangteasUS , was the discount created using native Shopify discount or was it a third-party app? If app, I would contact app support.
Edit: Also, free shipping minimum is calculated based on the discounted price, not the pre-discount price. At least that's how native discounts seem to work. Can you double check that the calculation is not being confused because the shop currency and buyer currency are different?
Hi TaiyangteasUS,
Please share a screenshot of your discount settings. This will grant more clarity on potential causes.
Best,
