Automate adding additional script in order status page

Hi all,
I am trying to add a custom script to my store's thank you page. It works on adding manually in additional scripts but I want to automate the process so that anyone installing my app would be able to add the script without any manual work. Is there a way to achieve this using theme app extensions rather than script tags since script tag seems to be deprecated now?
