Converting metafields to giftcards in the metafield amont

Hello!

I've made a workflow that would let our customers earn points with each purchase. The points are meant to be EUR values to let customers use as a discount. So, if you spend X amount of money, you'd accumulate 5% of that value on your profile, stored as customer metafield.

Now I'm trying to figure out how to actually implement this by letting the customers get a discount of the same value as their accumulation. Unfortunately, unsuccesfully. Could someone guide me the right direction?

I know they should be converted to a gift card in some way, so it wouldn't conflict with any other discounts the customer may use, but I can't find a particular way how.

Any help will be highly appreciated.
