'Date' object availability in Script Editor

Is the 'Date' object not available in the Script Editor?

I get an "uninitialized constant Date" error when I try to use it.

(Goal is to hide a particular shipping method on certain days of the week.)

Hi there, did you ever find a solution for handling Date or DateTime in a Shopify Script?

(We have a similar requirement to parse a date and react differently)

Unfortunately no.  It looks like we will need Shopify to make this object/method available.
