Different Announcement Bars for Different Countries

Hope this is the right place. I'm looking at expanding my store into international markets and I was looking at ways I could change my announcement bar for different countries as a starting point.

I don't want to use an App unless I really have to. I am using the Dawn theme. I found some information here that shows how to make various changes in liquid that deal with similar issues.

I thought that I could do something similar to what was done with the banner image on that page. I think the appropriate location is in announcement-bar.liquid. I'm keen to give it a go as I'm interested in learning enough to be able to take care of some basic "issues" with the theme. If I can do this then my next task will be to put some more intelligence around collections along similar lines.

Has anyone done this with announcement bars before?

If your shop has the ability to differentiate between countries, you can configure it to translate and then show it differently depending on the country!

I tried the code route (which probably should have worked) but I couldn't
get it to work. Then I found the localise option you described and it
worked great.

It's actually quite powerful so I will be looking to solve a few other
problems that way
