Different Values when getting order_id OR order_name

we have a shopify script that used in checkout script.

we've noticed that many time the {{ checkout.order_id }} or {{ checkout.order_name }} have different values from the thank you page and the email sent to user 

for example:-

values from script is #36547230564632 for both {{ checkout.order_id }} and {{ checkout.order_name }} while the value in thank you page is #UCNJCP2JY and in the email is #41276.
