Forwarding from third party domain to specific page

Hello, I’m trying to forward a domain to a specific page. 

for example whenever someone types:

www.newdomain.com 

I’d like it to forward to

www.shopifydomain.com/pages/example

my third party provider is godaddy

ive already gone directly on the domain settings there and selected forward to a specific address but it’s not working

Any help with this would be much appreciated!

Update: 

I figured out how to do it. I suppose it just wasn’t loading when I did the forwarding on godaddy! 

hope this helps someone. Saw a lot of people trying to do this.

Godaddy makes things simple but from your provider

forward the domain to the specific address on your website and it worked for me

www.newdomain.com

now forwards to

www.shopifydomain.com/pages/example
