How can I create a second 'contact us' page with different code in Shopify?

We want to add a second "contact us" page for our store - different from the default template. I watched a youtube coding video and created a duplicate, following the instructions to create another template and then a new "section".

I am ready now to edit the code in the duplicate by watching some videos. But, they all talk about editing the code in the template, and when I look at my code is completely different. Even my original " page.contact.liquid" looks nothing like the videos. the original simply has:   {% section 'contact-template' %} - that's all, whereas all the youtube videos show lone after line of code (div, class etc)?

I presume this means I should be editing the code in the "sections" section but that code is totally different from what the videos talk about.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
