How do I add padding to margin left and right of my image?

I have inserted an image into my site (I am using the Refresh Template)and when I look at it it just takes up my entire screen and is way too big. Either resizing the image down or adding padding should work, I just dont know the code.

Yes, I have tried to add transparent background and making it smaller on photoshop but that just makes the quality horrible.

2) Click more details to the right

3) Scroll down and there you should see the overly large image

Adapt Section Height is turned on. I'm not too sure what you were asking?
