How to adjust left and right margins on text?

Hi, I would like guidance on how to adjust the left and right margins (or padding) to the text field on my About page. 

It is centrally aligned but currently the text stretches right across the page.  It looks strange and out of proportion.  How can i increase the margin padding on both sides so the text field is a block in the centre of the page?
