How to hide a carrier rate based on variant name

Many of our products contain specific variants that only ship via a dropship partner. I'd like to hide our FedEx-calculated shipping rate whenever an order contains a variant that has "Dropship" in its title since our dropship partners do not ship via FedEx. I haven't been able to find an example script. Any help would be appreciated.
