Phone field duty changes depending on the shipping method

Hello Shopify Community,

for shipping with DHL Express it is necessary that we ask for a cell phone number in the checkout, which DHL Express needs for the label creation.


However, our customers who do not want to order via Express are deterred by the mandatory phone number query.


I now had the idea to use Shopify scripts to make the optional phone number field mandatory as soon as you have selected Express as the shipping method.


Can anyone help me with this?
